Sana commerce started its Sri Lankan offshore development centre in 2014 and ever since it is expanding its presence in Sri Lanka by hiring highly skilled professionals who are working in the e-commerce domain. We have a workforce of around 200 employees in our Colombo development centre who cater to different global markets from Sri Lanka. We strongly believe we have to integrate with the local community for a sustainable future. Hence we have tightly connected and closely working with local universities to empower the future workforce of the country with the knowledge and experience required for the industry. Further, we are committed to uplifting the Sri Lankan education system by providing infrastructure and facilities to underprivileged schools annually with our CSR initiatives.

Priyantha Bethmage

Managing Director

With his well-founded knowledge in the field of Software Engineering, which he acquired over the 23+ years in the IT industry, Priyantha has a diligent personality that drives the company to adhere to proper methodologies.

His passion was taking up challenges in start-ups based in, Belgium, Germany, the UK, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands. He started his career as a software engineer after graduating from the University of Colombo. Being involved in the managerial arena for a number of years, he got equipped with an MBA from the University of Moratuwa specializing in IT. He has similarly acquired his second masters in human resource management and Labor Relations from the University of Colombo”

Priyantha involved in initial development activities with Sana commerce Sri Lanka since its inception in 2014 and focuses critically on operational excellence.

With the help of prior experience in the industry, he was able to face the challenges that came in his way in the process of the development of Sana commerce Sri Lanka and were of great help to the Dutch management to bring the company to this elevation.

He strongly believes in teamwork and that the success of an organization is its people. He further believes that without the contribution of the employees the organization cannot reach this exceptional height that it has gained in a short period of time.

Under his leadership, the company will continue to grow by investing in its employees and by pursuing its way to the next triumphant stage.

Tharanga Perera

Finance Director

Financial Director Numbers are his favourites. Tharanga is famous for the strong and rational personality he displays as the Finance Director of Sana commerce Sri Lanka. His academics fall in the field of accountancy with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, followed by a Certified Management Accountants qualification from Australia. His involvement in the scope of finance since 2005, bestowed him with the practical knowledge of handling the financial functions and the act of representing the company to local authorities and concerned parties competently. With all the work on his plate, he still finds time to explore the world, going on ventures and experiencing different cultures to tick off from his bucket list pinned to his world map.

Uditha Wijesundara

IT director, ISM eGroup & Head of Sana hosting operation

If “Think big, think differently” was a way of life, Uditha would be the archetype. The entrepreneurial, futuristic leader was one of the first members of Sana commerce Sri Lanka and contributed immensely towards the establishment of the company in Sri Lanka.

His passion for sharing knowledge on the global IT industry is renowned among everyone he has come across, despite being a co-worker or an outsider. He is also an outstanding lecturer. Over recent years, Uditha’s fondness towards Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in cyberspace has got him researching the subject widely.

One strong point for his success in the industry is his experience in the field and networking.

Uditha believes that living by example is the best way a company could achieve the best of performance, and it is this attitude that led him to win the hearts of people wherever he goes. And of course, it is his love for sports, and cricket mostly, that keeps him fit and young.
